We promote training without trauma. We take captive wild horses from US government holding facilities, other New Mexico rescues, and state agencies. We bring them to Mustang Camp to be trained and socialized using our 26-step criteria program. An approachable and trained horse is 100 times more likely to get adopted. Our mission is to rescue homeless dogs and cats and provide temporary quality care for them in foster homes until permanent adoptive homes can be found, promote animal welfare through educational efforts and other services, reduce overpopulation in companion animals and feral cats through spay-neuter services, and provide needed medical care to senior dogs and cats with the goal to either make them more adoptable or to provide end of life hospice care at a NMAF foster home or through a sponsorship at a senior care sanctuary.
