Although we've been taking in unwanted animals since 1994, we weren't incorporated until 1999. We are 1 of only 9 rescues officially licensed and inspected by the NM Livestock Board. We focus our main attention on "lost causes." We try to take those animals that no other rescues want to take and therefore have many horses that are not riding sound or retired. When possible, we adopt out our rescues, but because of numerous "disabilities," most of our rescues are simply companion animals. Due to that, most of these horses tend to live out the remainder of their lives with us.
