Activity Brief: How to win: Most number of Pictionary correctly answer wins!
Play style: Pictionary
Say: Who loves to draw? Today, we’ll play the gameof “ The Shangri-La Smile” .
Duration: 5-10 minutes
Setup: • Indoor • Individual or Team
Toplay: 1. In teams or groups of two, a colleague will picka “hotel scenario” and draw it on the given medium, white board (or digital paint using zoom). 2. The other partner colleagues must guess what scenario it pertaining to within 60 seconds. 3. The answer should match the exact words in the list. All the adjectives or words used are basic like tall, circular, volleyball, necktie, ribbon, etc. 4. If incorrect, other colleagues can answer. Key Learning: • The Asian way of communication always start with a greeting and a smile. This gesture is a way of preserving the culture and the Asian heritage we have. • We use this as well in greeting our colleagues and guests for them to feel the respect we provide. Genuine smile as the basic hospitality greeting rooted in our Asian tradition.
Materials: 1. List of hotel scenarios - 10
If face to face- 1. Whiteboard or flipchat paper with a stand 2. Marker
If virtual- 1. Teams with paint/ Zoom with pen
