Activity 39 – Sneak a Peak
Objective: To be familiar on our high standards that we must comply all the time.
Toplay:
1. Divide the colleagues into groups and provide them with equal but enough building material. 2. Ask one colleague from each team to come and "sneak a peek" at the sculpture for about 10 seconds. Then they go back to their teams and get 25 seconds to instruct their teams on how to rebuild the same statue. 3. After 25 seconds, another colleague from each team is sent to sneak a peek at the sculpture. 4. The process continues until one of the teams successfully builds a replica of the original statue. 5. Building of the sculpture is 6-minutes. Key learning: • The building blocks represent our Shangri-La standards. We must always adhere to our core and unique service like the food safety we have or the security standards we have in place. • We must strive to achieve valuable results by contributing in our own small way. All the colleagues can share and do their part by strict compliance always.

Note: Before the activity begins, Facilitator to build a simple sculpture using blocks on the other room or other space at the workstation. The sculpture represents the “standards” we have.
