Local area

The marina, and so much more…

As you’ve seen, there’s more than enough on-site to keep you entertained throughout your stay to Casa de Campo. However, if you would like to venture into the wider area, you’ll find lots to keep you and your group entertained. History buffs should certainly check out the Altos de Chavon – a replica 16th-century Mediterranean village with a stunning church, amphitheatre, art galleries, shops and restaurants. The nearby city of La Romana is also known for it’s rich history, as well as a splendid local market which is ideal for picking up some souvenirs of your trip to the Dominican Republic. Nearby, you’ll also find Catalina Island – a hotspot for diving and snorkelling, as well as Cueva de las Maravillas, a beautiful cave system complete with centuries’ old paintings. There’s also plenty to do around the Casa de Campo marina, with a plethora of shops and bars – as we as an annual international fishing tournament if you happen to time your visit right!
