C oastal Construction Co. Inc. counts itself lucky to have seen a slight uptick in reve- nue in 2022, rising 2 percent from $101.2 million in 2021 to $103.2 million in 2022, good for the No. 16 spot in our Top 25. Coastal specializes in new residen- tial construction. “Thanks to a strong residen- tial market in 2021 and continuing in 2022, we were able to start and continue several residential develop- ment projects,” explains Les Masutani, vice president. “Ken [Sakurai, company president] has always credited success to his dedi- cated and loyal employees. In turn, we are motivated and inspired by his lead- ership, passion and foresight. “He continues to invest and train future generations to assure success and continue his legacy,” Masutani says.
