The Thanksgiving long weekend is rolling up and for some that means making plans for ATV outings on the local trails. Police want to remind riders to keep safety in mind. In Ontario ATV drivers must have at least a valid G2 licence. All riders must wear CSA- approved helmets. Safety goggles, protective boots and gloves are also recommended along with long pants and a long-sleeved jacket. Passengers are not allowed as most ATVs are designed for single riders. Children should not be allowed to drive a full-sized ATV as they may not have the necessary control or experience to handle the machine. Thanksgiving reminder for ATV riders
