Foundations of Special and Inclusive Education is a book that tackles the importance of society’s openness to diversity and inclusion. It begins with a definition and clarification of diversity. Then, it discusses the historical, socio-cultural, and philosophical foundations of inclusion before proceeding to expound on how inclusive schools can be created, sustained, and supported. Moreover, typical and atypical development among children, as well as the learning characteristics of students with special education needs, are also covered significantly in the book.
