Field Study II is expected to strengthen the teaching competencies, knowledge, and values that student teachers learned in Field Study I. It will serve as a reference guide for student teachers in implementing effective lessons for the K to 12 curriculum. The lessons and activities in this textbook are designed to meet the demands and requirements of the new teacher education curriculum following the outcomes- based education paradigm prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The textbook is also aligned with the requirements of CHED Memorandum Order Numbers 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, and 82, series of 2017, and the new Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST). This textbook is also a product of the combined wisdom and experiences of seasoned teachers, educational researchers, professors, and policymakers. Field Study II

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

GREG TABIOS PAWILEN

He is an associate professor at the College of Human Ecology and at the Graduate School of the University of the Philippines (UP)-Los Banos. He finished his Master of Arts in Education and Doctor of Philosophy in Education major in Curriculum Studies at UP-Diliman. He also completed his Master of Education in Curriculum Development at Ehime University in Japan. He received the Academic Excellence Award from the UP College of Education for obtaining the highest general weighted average for his doctorate studies. He also received the prestigious Pi Gamma Mu Award for Academic Excellence in Social Sciences, and he is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

ERICSON M. REYES

He is a seasoned higher education program specialist. He obtained his Bachelor of Secondary Education from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-South La Union. His decade of experience in higher education includes policy and curriculum development for undergraduate and graduate programs in teacher education, covering monitoring and evaluation of teacher education programs and projects. He has been involved in numerous teacher education projects, such as the Centers of Excellence and Centers of Development Project, the development of the Master Plan for Teacher Education, the development of ICT-Competency Standards for Teachers, and the development of the National Research Agenda for Teacher Education.

JOHN AMIEL A. RIVERA

He is a faculty member of the College of Education at the Rizal Technological University. He teaches professional education and English specialization courses at the college level. He is a licensed professional teacher and a graduate of Master of Arts in English Language Teaching at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He earned his Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English from the same university.

TRIXIE MARIE J. SISON

She is an educator who has been in the field for almost 30 years now. She is the dean of the College of Education at Miriam College. She graduated as class valedictorian and cum laude with a degree in child development and education from Maryknoll College in 1988. She completed her master’s degree in family life and child development at the University of the Philippines-Diliman and earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management at the De La Salle Araneta University with the highest distinction. She is involved with some government agencies and private organizations. Among these are being a member of the Technical Committee on Early Childhood Education under the Commission on Higher Education, various technical committees of the Early Childhood Care and Development Council, the Asia Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and the Association for Childhood Education International.
