Exclusively for residential and light commercial applications, Ceramiche Keope offers the installation of 6 mm-thick porcelain stoneware slabs on floors. These slabs are an excellent solution for installation over existing flooring, avoiding the need for demolition, provided that the substrate is level, stable, and rigid. In any case, the suitability of the substrate must be evaluated in collaboration with the flooring designer. On the other hand, installing 6 mm slabs on screeds requires particular attention: the screed must be fully cured and equipped with appropriate expansion joints. For added precaution in these contexts, the use of porcelain stoneware with traditional thickness is recommended. For all applications, it is essential to apply the adhesive using the double-spread method and ensure that the installation is carried out professionally.
Esclusivamente per applicazioni in ambito residenziale e commerciale a traffico leggero, Ceramiche Keope propone la posa a pavimento delle lastre in gres porcellanato con spessore 6 mm. Queste lastre rappresentano una valida soluzione per la posa su pavimentazioni preesistenti, evitando la necessità di demolizione, a condizione che il supporto sia planare, stabile e rigido. In ogni caso, l’idoneità del sottofondo dovrà essere valutata in collaborazione con il progettista della pavimentazione. La posa su massetto di lastre a 6 mm, invece, richiede particolare attenzione: è fondamentale che il massetto sia completamente stagionato e dotato di adeguati giunti di dilatazione; per maggiore precauzione, in questi contesti, si raccomanda l’uso di gres porcellanato con spessore tradizionale. Per tutte le applicazioni, è essenziale applicare l’adesivo mediante il metodo della doppia spalmatura e che la posa sia eseguita a regola d’arte.

Per la pulizia ordinaria, Ceramiche Keope sconsiglia l’impiego di cere, saponi oleosi e prodotti impregnanti, suggerendo invece l’uso di varechina o ammoniaca diluite in acqua, con successiva asciugatura del pavimento per evitare aloni, specialmente sulle superfici Lappate. Le superfici Lappate richiedono l’uso di attrezzature non abrasive per prevenire graffi o opacizzazioni. Per un corretto lavaggio acido su queste superfici, è necessario impiegare un acido tamponato diluito, dimezzando la concentrazione raccomandata dal produttore. È essenziale ridurre il tempo di contatto tra l’acido e le lastre e risciacquare abbondantemente subito dopo. In caso di macchie particolari e/o particolarmente tenaci, è consigliabile l’uso di detergenti specifici, come indicato nella tabella a pagina 125. Non va inoltre dimenticato che la rimozione di qualsiasi tipo di macchia è più agevole quando questa è ancora fresca. È importante fare sempre un test preventivo prima dell’uso dei prodotti detergenti, in particolare su gres porcellanato lappato o levigato.
For ordinary cleaning, Ceramiche Keope advises against using waxes, oily soaps, and impregnating products. Instead, it recommends using diluted bleach or ammonia in water, followed by drying the floor to avoid streaks, especially on Lappato surfaces. Lappato surfaces require the use of non-abrasive tools to prevent scratches or dulling. For proper acid washing on these surfaces, a buffered diluted acid should be used, halving the concentration recommended by the manufacturer. It is essential to minimize the contact time between the acid and the slabs and rinse thoroughly immediately after. For specific and/or particularly stubborn stains, the use of specialized detergents is recommended, as indicated in the table on page 125. Additionally, it is important to note that the removal of any type of stain is easier when it is still fresh. Always conduct a preliminary test before using cleaning products, especially on Lappato or polished porcelain stoneware.
