Managing the Building Safety Act Members from across England participated in an online session – led by Southern Counties Vice-President Peter Atkins of AS Homes Ltd – about their experience working under the demands of the Building Safety Act. FMB’s media presence continues to grow
The end of 2025 saw FMB membership grow month on month, and feature more frequently in the media – on FMB podcasts and on television including ITV and Channel 4. “We will be taking part in the Homebuilding & Renovating shows across the UK again this year, putting our logo and name in front of hundreds of consumers, and promoting the Find a Builder service,” North Director Carolyn Frank said. “It’s important that members update their FMB online profiles. Well-populated profiles with images perform better in searches. The membership team in Leeds are on hand to help you with this.”

Representing across the region Over the last few months, South Director Iain Kirtley has travelled across the region to speak with representatives of local colleges,
training providers, local authorities and industry stakeholders to represent and promote the FMB and its members. Opportunities have also
arisen for Master Builders in the South West to become part of the contractor pool for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Site visit success Nick McHale of Gloucestershire-based member King N Construction hosted a site visit for members to see his rammed-earth, new-build project. Members heard from the architect and project team about this unique build. “My thanks to Nick and the client for their hospitality,” said South Director Iain Kirtley.
