BONDING APPLICATION TO THE SURFACE: Apply the Adhesive to the installation surface, spreading it evenly with the flat side of a trowel. Then, use the toothed side in a straight and perpendicular direction. Complete this process as quickly as possible to ensure the adhesive does not affect the slab’s ad-herence.. BACK BUTTERING TILE Back buttering the slab is mandatory. Apply adhesive both on the back of the slab and on the area to be tiled. Ensure the adhesive thickness does not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended amount. SLAB PLACEMENT It is important all work is coordinated with the installation team and to carry the slab to the closest area where the slab will be installed. Therefore, we minimize any possibility to correct or readjust the piece. Once the slab is placed with adhesive, use a rubber mal-let to remove air pockets that might have been kept during the process. LEVELLING SYSTEM A levelling system is essential for large formats. This system ensures a completely flat and uniform finish by applying pressure to the slabs and adjoining pieces while the adhe-sive sets. GROUTING PROCESS Placement joints must be fully dried, clean of residues, and empty before grouting. Fol-low the manufacturer’s instruc- tions for applying the grout. Use a flat rubber trowel to fill all spaces with diagonal movements. Allow the recommended time for the grout to set before cleaning the joints with a wet sponge, using diagonal movements. Afterwards, we will wait for the recommended time by the manufacturer prior to the cleaning process. Once we reach that time, we will clean all the grout joints with a wet sponge through diagonal movements to the joints. FINAL CLEANING For a perfect finish, thoroughly clean the ceramic tile. Remove all cement, grout, and all other residues to ensure a pristi- ne result. APLICACIÓN DEL ADHESIVO Aplicar el adhesivo sobre la superficie de colocación y se extender con la parte lisa de la llana. Posteriormente someter a la operación de “peinado” en línea recta y perpendicular. Es importante realizar esta operación en el menor tiempo posible para evitar que el adhesivo no afecte a la adherencia de la pieza. DOBLE ENCOLADO En segundo lugar, aplicar el adhesivo mediante la técnica del doble encolado, aplicar el adhesivo tanto en el reverso de la placa como sobre el soporte. La aplicación del doble encolado no debe superar el espesor recomendado para la capa adhesiva recomendada por el fabricante. COLOCACIÓN DE LA PLACA Importante el trabajo de coordinación del equipo de instaladores para colocar la placa lo mas aproximadamente posible a su ubicación definitiva. De este modo se minimiza la posibilidad de tener que corregir o reajustar la pieza. Con la placa colocada y el adhesivo fresco, realizar la operación de golpe con una maza de goma para extraer todo el aire que haya quedado encapsulado entre las placas adheridas durante la colocación. SISTEMA DE NIVELACIÓN Es necesario el uso de un sistema de nivelación para formatos grandes para ayudar a conseguir acabados completamente planos y uniformes. El sistema nivelación se aplica ejercien- do presión sobre las placas contiguas durante el proceso de instalación mientras el adhesivo esté fraguando, por ello tenemos que tomar ciertas precauciones para evitar que la fuerza ejercida pueda afectar negativamente a la adherencia. PROCESO DE REJUNTADO Las juntas de colocación deben estar secas, limpias. La aplicación del material de rejuntado se realizará según las ins- trucciones del fabricante. Se debe extender la pasta de rejuntado utilizando una llana de goma adecuada rellenando las juntas en toda su profundidad con movimientos diagonales, esperar el tiempo indicado por el fabricante para iniciar a la limpieza que debe ser retirado con una esponja humedecida en diagonal a las juntas. LIMPIEZA FINAL DE OBRA Para un correcto acabado del revestimiento cerámico, es necesario proceder a una correcta limpieza final de obra. De este modo, se retirarán los restos de cemento, materiales de sellado de juntas y cualquier otro residuo.
