The Grassroots’ Club was founded to build a stronger and more cohesive grassroots network by bringing members together. For over two decades, the Club has been a meeting point for members of all ages, from all walks of life. We have evolved over time to meet members’ changing needs with constant upgrading of recreational facilities, amenities and an ever-growing calendar of events and activities for members. With so much on offer, we invited four members to share their experiences and understand what makes The Grassroots’ Club membership so valuable to them.

Why did you decide to join The Grassroots’ Club (TGC) as a member? I was considering a lifestyle club membership to pass the time meaningfully and stay in shape. As a grassroots volunteer since 2014, I do frequent TGC and am familiar with the facilities and amenities. I decided it was the best fit for my needs and signed up as a member.

FRIENDS, FAMILY AND FUN Tan Nan An, 36 member since 2019 What’s the best part of being a TGC member for you? I appreciate that it is an exclusive membership for grassroots leaders as members have something in common.The Club brings together like-minded people to share ideas and experiences. Along the way, I get to make friends from all walks of life and beyond my own age group. How does a TGC membership fit with your lifestyle? Thanks to TGC, I have benefited both physically and emotionally. I mostly use the gym facilities to stay active and spend time at the members’ lounge to relax and take a break from work.
How does the TGC membership fit with your lifestyle? The gym and spa facilities have been the biggest part of my TGC experience. I use them once a week after dinner to stay fit and unwind after a long day. I greatly enjoy catching up with friends at the Club since I find it to be a very conducive place to converse with the other members. With the Club’s comprehensive facilities and convenient location, I think it’s a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore! What makes a TGC membership attractive to people in their 20s? I think people of my age enjoy socialising. A TGC membership would be valuable because it brings many formal and informal networking opportunities. If the gym and spa would have longer operating hours, that would be icing on the cake!
