Live

The Welsh language is a natural part of life here at Swansea. We are famous for our close-knit Welsh community.

There are plenty of opportunities available for students to live and socialise through the medium of Welsh on and off campus. It’s a great opportunity for you to make new friends.

Or if you like your sports, we have Rygbi Tawe. This is the perfect opportunity for you to meet new students on the rugby pitch.

DISCOVERY

Another great way to make new friends is by volunteering with our University student-led charity Discovery. Discovery has received recognition of the Welsh Offer from the Welsh Language Commissioner for its commitment to promoting the Welsh language and its culture through various means, such as providing volunteering opportunities in the Welsh language and the Welsh Language Club.
