examination of the various teaching methods available to the teacher of psy­ chology. (Elective.) PSY 703 ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES (2) A seminar dealing with administrative issues such as personnel, finances, community relations, and supervision. (Elective.)

PSY 704 ADVANCED RESEARCH DESIGN (3)

A continuation of PSY 601 for students interested in pursuing dissertation research. The course will include advanced study ofunivariate and multivariate analysis of variance, regression analysis, canonical and discriminant analysis, and factor analysis. Required for all Ph.D. students. Prerequisite: PSY 601.

PSY 705 CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY (2 or 3)

A general overview of current research on the use and effectiveness of psycho­ tropic medication in the treatment of the psychoses, neuroses, and other emotional disorders. Consultation and class presentations by area psychiatrists. (Elective.)

PSY 707 PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL PROCESSES (3)

An introduction to psychophysiological and neural mechanisms in their rela­ tion to mind-body processes, to the production of psychosomatic symptoms and diseases, and to origins of psychopathology. (Required.)

PSY 708 HUMAN SEXUALITY: THEORETICAL ISSUES (2)

This course surveys in historical and theoretical perspective the various dimen­ sions and implications of the sexuality component of human behavior. Atten­ tion is given to biological, psychosocial, and theological factors in relation to sexual function and dysfunction. (Elective.)

PSY 709 CURRENT ISSUES IN PSYCHOLOGY (1 or 2)

Intensive focus is given to a selected topic of contemporary interest such as the psychology of women, forensic psychology, National Health Care and psycho­ logical services. (Elective.)

PSY 710 SPECIAL TECHNIQUES IN CLINICAL PRACTICE (2)

Intensive consideration of a specific technique utilized in modem clinical practice and requiring specialized training. A single major technique, such as the Halstead-Reitan Adult Neuropsychological Battery or clinical hypnosis, will be the focus each time the course is offered. (Elective.)
