Person Specification
Essential criteria: • Experience in construction or building maintenance at a management level. • In-depth knowledge of building fabric maintenance practices, including inspection, repair, refurbishment techniques and reading construction drawings & O&M’s. • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. • Interest in and firm knowledge of the built environment, including building regulations. • Experience of managing maintenance, repairs, and fabric cleaning to Grade I /II listed buildings.
• Proven project management experience. • Competent at MS office and CAFM systems.
• This position requires an enthusiastic and energetic person able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and actively contribute to the Estates Management team’s work. Desirable criteria: • Relevant qualification in Facilities Management. • Building fabric/multi trade background. • City & Guilds Level 3 or BTECH in Carpentry or other building construction or fabric related discipline • Experience of managing maintenance, repairs on Scheduled Ancient Monuments. • Experience in using AutoCAD. • Experience in drafting and managing NEC4 or JCT contracts. • Be prepared to be flexible in meeting the demands of the role, as the role may involve some evening and occasional weekend work
