NexTrex® Plastic Recycling Challenge
The Recycling Challenge also educates people about the environmental benefits of PE film recycling and encourages them to reduce their single-use plastic consumption. Once groups register for the Recycling Challenge online, they receive collection bins and other supplies to help streamline their recycling efforts. We also provide educational posters and magnets to help participants understand what types of recycled PE film can be used in the Trex manufacturing process. In addition, we offer an online directory of Trex-affiliated waste PE drop-off locations.
NexTrex® Grassroots Movement
We continue to mobilize community efforts to divert waste PE from landfills through our NexTrex® Plastic Film Recycling Challenge that recycled more than 2.5 million pounds of waste PE in 2025. Beginning in January, the program shifted to an annual cycle, allowing us to better support the participants and standardize the rewards schedule. We’re excited to announce that, instead of a single opportunity to earn a reward, participants will now have access to quarterly prize draws. For every 250 pounds of plastic a group collects, they will earn one entry into the quarterly draw. LOGO USAGE
