Fast fit, no fuss with DAB Pumps

For installers tackling basements, extensions or garden office projects, wastewater disposal can quickly become a sticking point. With the push for faster installs and minimal disruption, product selection isn’t just about performance. Whether it’s a toilet in a garden room, a basement utility space or a shower in a loft conversion, automatic lifting stations make it possible to add sanitary ware where traditional plumbing can’t. These compact, sealed units pump greywater or blackwater to the nearest suitable discharge point, bypassing the need for complex pipe rerouting or disruptive groundworks. That makes them an attractive option for developers and installers delivering flexible, functional spaces, particularly when working within the limits of an existing structure. But not all lifting stations are created equal. For time-pressed installers working in occupied homes or under pressure on site, products that are difficult to install, overly complex to specify or awkward to maintain can waste valuable hours. Fast-fit features, like intuitive assembly, plug-and- play connections and in-situ servicing, can be the difference between a smooth job and a return visit. Installers want products that just get the job done and a good lifting station needs

to be reliable, of course, but it should also be quick to install and easy to work on later if something goes wrong. That’s especially important in retrofits, where you don’t want to disturb the wider system. Overcomplicated product ranges can be another pain point. Too many similar options increase the risk of selecting the wrong unit, especially when the differences between models aren’t immediately clear. DAB’s Genix range tackles this head- on. With just three SKUs, it covers most domestic and light commercial needs: Genix and Genix WL for toilets, washbasins and showers and Genix VT for greywater- only applications such as washing machines and kitchen sinks. Each model is supplied as a complete kit, including all essential installation components - hose clamps, adaptors, rotating delivery pipes, ground fixing screws, integrated non-return valves and quick couplings. A step-by-step, quick-start guide with clear diagrams helps installers get the job done without fuss, even in tight spaces. Maintenance has been given similar attention. Many lifting stations require full disassembly to access internal components - a messy, time-consuming job that risks

pipework damage and unnecessary downtime. The Genix design allows the motor block to be removed in situ, without disturbing the pipes. Capacitors, pressure switches and even the cutting blades can be accessed easily, making servicing cleaner and quicker. As lifting stations become a more common feature in homes and refurbishments, demand is growing for units that fit seamlessly into the fast-paced reality of today’s plumbing projects. With clear product options, thoughtful installation kits and designs that prioritise user access, new-generation lifting stations such as Genix are helping installers keep jobs on schedule and customers reassured

their plumbing is built to last. For more information, visit www.dabpumps.com
