INTRODUCTION TO WARWICK BUSINESS SCHOOL (WBS)

Learning at WBS isn’t just about theory; it’s also about applying employability and leadership skills. Every programme is built to connect with the real world, so that people can start applying what they learn straight away. Our world-class research is undertaken in partnership with policy and practice, to ensure both relevance and practical application. Students benefit from this excellence in the classroom, where real-life insights, live case studies, and immersive experiences are at the forefront. Alongside our location on the University’s campus, after decades of engaging with business and policy leaders in the capital, we opened our London base at The Shard in 2015. Since then, we’ve welcomed thousands of students from across the globe, with 110 nations represented on the MBA programmes held at The Shard alone. WBS London offers top-quality workspaces, inspirational speakers, thought leadership events, cutting-edge research showcases, and networking from the heart of the city. From September 2024 to August 2025, we hosted more than 130 events. For employers and organisations in London, engaging with us has never been easier. We hope this booklet gives you further insight into WBS and we look forward to working with you in the future.

As employers, you’re highly valued members of our community, and you play a vital role in the futures of our students and graduates. Whether it’s strengthening your workforce with WBS talent, upskilling your employees through our courses, or collaborating on important research, we’re committed to building lasting relationships that drive mutual success. Since 1967, we’ve been welcoming students from around the world to study with us. From humble beginnings with just 24 students, we’re now the largest department at the University of Warwick with more than 5,000 students and 63,000 graduates. Our past, present and future are shaped by our commitment to academic excellence, practical relevance, and continuously evolving so that we’re ready to tackle tomorrow’s challenges, today. We were the first UK business school to be triple accredited (AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS) and to receive the Athena SWAN Gold Award for improving gender equality. Our courses consistently rank highly; our Global Online MBA is third in the world ( Financial Times Online MBA Ranking 2025) and has been ranked among the world’s top three by QS and the Financial Times for more than a decade. Our MSc Marketing & Strategy is sixth in the world (QS Business Masters Rankings 2026), and our BSc Management, BSc International Management, and BSc Accounting & Finance, are all ranked second in the UK ( The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026). Our achievements are a testament to our world-class teaching and faculty, the quality of our degrees, and the strength of our Change Maker students and alumni.

GRADUATE SUCCESS STORIES

For the Change Makers With more than 63,000 graduates in 176 countries, our global alumni community is one of WBS’s greatest strengths. Employers gain access not only to exceptional individuals - through networking and talent sourcing sessions, sector-specific insight events, or guest lectures, amongst others - but also to an active, international network of thinkers, innovators, and practitioners who support one another and challenge established ways of working. Whether leading major digital transformations, advancing ESG and behavioural change, driving inclusive growth, or guiding teams through ambiguity, WBS alumni embody the School’s commitment to creating Change Makers; leaders who combine ambition with impact, and who make a difference far beyond their immediate roles.

Anna Abraham Mulamoottil Associate Director of AI Advisory UK & EU at LTIMindtree Programme: Full-time MBA TechWomen100 Award Winner 2026 W wbs.ac.uk/go/annamulamoottil “I enable LTIMindtree’s AI Advisory division in UK Business Transformation Consulting. It’s a role that spans technology, people, and processes-designing solutions that drive sustainable value and digital transformation. “I’m leading teams to reimagine business models for global enterprises. Implementing AI-powered automation that reduces bias. Working with C-suite executives and operational teams alike to translate complex technical requirements into strategic outcomes. “The most rewarding part? Seeing the impact. A 10% reduction in pollution incidents. 15% operational efficiency improvements. Projects that gain approval across 13 business units. But beyond the metrics, it’s about embedding ESG principles and diversity initiatives into every project. It’s about proving that business transformation can deliver exceptional commercial results while making a genuine difference to communities and the environment. “The strategic frameworks and analytical tools from WBS have been essential. The ability to think systemically, understanding how decisions ripple across business, environmental, and social dimensions has become my signature approach. “The WBS name opens doors – there’s no denying that. The school’s reputation signals strategic thinking and analytical rigour, providing immediate credibility when entering new sectors or proposing innovative approaches.”

Nanna Skau Deputy Country Director for the UN World Food Programme (WFP) Programme: Executive Education W wbs.ac.uk/go/nanna-skau Over a career spanning more than 25 years in international relations, humanitarian aid, and development, Nanna has served across the globe, from China and DPR Korea to Armenia and Lao PDR, helping communities overcome the barriers that prevent lasting progress. Her work has been part of the WFP’s mission that earned the organisation the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize, and in 2025 she was personally recognised with Armenia’s Medal of Honour for advancing cooperation between the Government and the WFP. While leading WFP’s country office in Armenia, Nanna encountered the transformative power of behavioural science firsthand. Working with social behaviour scientist Dr Rowena Merritt, her team applied behavioural insights to understand why communities struggled to adopt healthier lifestyles. That experience inspired Nanna to deepen her understanding through the Behavioural Science Executive Education programme at WBS. The programme gave her new tools to link theory with practice, and a network of peers who continue to challenge and inspire her. “The questions and discussions with my fellow students were invaluable. Learning from people outside my field has helped me see things from completely new angles.”

Fiza Farhan CEO at ORA Global Development Advisors Programme: MSc Management W wbs.ac.uk/go/fiza-farhan Immediately after graduation, Fiza co-founded Buksh Energy Private Limited and Buksh Foundation, two social enterprises where innovations like the ‘Lighting a Million Lives’ project evolved from thoughts on paper to reality, becoming UN Foundation/ UN Habitat certified International Best Practice. The project used microfinance to help villagers replace widely-used, but dangerous and polluting kerosene lamps, with safer solar versions, creating an eco-system for rural women entrepreneurs to set up clean energy businesses. In 2016, Fiza was appointed by the UN Secretary General as a Member of his first ever High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment. Shortly after, the Chief Minister of Punjab appointed Fiza as the Chairperson to his Task Force on Women’s Empowerment. “My year at WBS opened my eyes to the possibilities of social enterprise and entrepreneurship; it ignited my passion for engineering social justice and to bring about change for the many who don’t have a voice and agency, in Pakistan and across the world. It gave me the tools and insight to realise that responsible business can bring about this change, and do good business

Richard Eldridge Entrepreneur, board leader, and mental health advocate Programme: BSc Management Sciences Winner of the WBS Alumni Award for

Hannes Snyman Chief Financial Officer at Mpact Limited Programme: Executive MBA W wbs.ac.uk/go/hannes-snyman “I received my Executive MBA degree in December 2023 and in June 2024 I was promoted to Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Mpact Limited. “The Executive MBA covers all the core topics a business leader needs to understand and deal with on a daily basis. The Leadership module gave me the tools to manage this part of the role with confidence. The module specifically highlighted the paradoxical tensions which business leaders have to deal with and embrace working with, as well as critical topics such as decision-making and ethical leadership. “My cohort consisted of interesting people from various industries and nationalities. This diversity provided a richness to the classroom discussions and group work exercises, as everyone had a unique perspective and a wealth of professional experience from their respective fields.”

Business Entrepreneurship 2025 W wbs.ac.uk/go/richardeldridge

As CEO of Courage Rocks, Richard mentors founders and invests in early-stage ventures that put social impact at their core. From AI to ethical tech, he backs entrepreneurs who want to innovate responsibly and inclusively. Previously, as Co-founder and CEO of Lenddo, Richard helped millions of people and small businesses access credit using alternative data. The venture was named a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2014. Richard’s leadership doesn’t stop at entrepreneurship. As Executive Chairperson of Infinit-O, he has driven digital transformation in healthcare and finance. At Infinit Care, a fast-growing mental wellness platform in the Philippines, he advocates for accessible mental health support and employee wellbeing. He has served on global councils at the World Economic Forum, contributing to discussions on migration, governance, and the future of technology. He continues to advise boards on AI, responsible leadership, and sustainable growth.

WORKING WITH BUSINESS

WORKING WITH OUR STUDENTS AND GRADUATES

A partnership built around real business needs Employers need people who can analyse information, think strategically, communicate insight clearly, and lead with confidence. We build those expectations directly into how we teach. Their insight shapes our curriculum, our skills development, and the problems students work on, ensuring graduates arrive ready to add value.

Strategic consultancy projects Work with a student or a team on a live business challenge. Projects run for eight to 12 weeks and deliver recommendations you can use straight away. Internships and work placements Bring in fresh thinking for short or extended placements. Students contribute from day one and often progress into longer term roles. We collaborate with organisations across sectors and regions including Barclays, Jaguar Land Rover, IBM, National Grid, Schneider Electric, GE Healthcare, Lloyds Banking Group, PwC, pladis, American Express, Citi, CGI, NHS Trusts, and partners across China and Hong Kong, India, and the UAE.
