WORKING WITH BUSINESS

WORKING WITH OUR STUDENTS AND GRADUATES

A partnership built around real business needs Employers need people who can analyse information, think strategically, communicate insight clearly, and lead with confidence. We build those expectations directly into how we teach. Our Executive Roundtables at The Shard bring leaders from organisations like Deutsche Bank, Citi, IBM, Jaguar Land Rover, Delice de France, Deloitte, and Mulberry into active conversation with faculty. Their insight shapes our curriculum, our skills development, and the problems students work on, ensuring graduates arrive ready to add value.

Strategic consultancy projects Work with a student or a team on a live business challenge. Projects run for eight to 12 weeks and deliver recommendations you can use straight away. Internships and work placements Bring in fresh thinking for short or extended placements. Students contribute from day one and often progress into longer term roles. Graduate roles Recruit graduates who are ready to contribute quickly, with the skills and mindset to grow into future leaders. MBA and experienced hire talent Access professionals with industry experience who combine strategic thinking with the confidence to lead and deliver.

Work with our students on real challenges

Overview Employers work with WBS because they get more than great students and graduates. They get a collaborator who helps them solve problems, sharpen strategy, and build the skills their future workforce will need. Whether you’re recruiting talent or exploring a business challenge, we make collaboration simple, practical, and valuable from day one.

The skills our graduates bring: The PRACTICE Framework To make sure our early-career students are ready for the workplace, we embed the PRACTICE Framework across teaching, projects, and co-curricular learning. Developed with input from industry, it helps prepare graduates to contribute from their first day with you.

Every year, employers and alumni work with us to explore new ideas, stress-test strategies, and solve operational or organisational problems. Students bring curiosity, fresh thinking, and the support of world-leading faculty. We collaborate with organisations across sectors and regions including Barclays, Jaguar Land Rover, IBM, National Grid, Schneider Electric, GE Healthcare, Lloyds Banking Group, PwC, pladis, American Express, Citi, CGI, NHS Trusts, and partners across China and Hong Kong, India, and the UAE.
