The Inside Track: The second double-header after the summer break came to an end with the floodlit spectacle on the streets of Singapore. After a difficult Friday, the team bounced back on Saturday to lock-out the second row of the grid. Lewis Hamilton started the race from P3, George Russell from P4. Lewis attacked Max Verstappen at the start but was unable to get past him. George was under pressure from Oscar Piastri and Nico Hülkenberg but managed to defend P4. After a long race and the first ever Singapore GP not to feature a safety car, George and Lewis ultimately finished P4 and P6 respectively, making this another double-points finish for the Team.
The Circuit: Named after the racing drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, the circuit got its name shortly after it opened when Ricardo died in practice for the non- Championship 1962 Mexican Grand Prix. Built in a public park in 1962, the circuit hosted its first Formula One Grand Prix the same year, as a non- Championship race. The following year the Mexican Grand Prix became a full World Championship event.
