A Note on Bull Development
Welcome to Cunningham Livestock! We’re excited to host the New Day Genetics Bull sale and have the opportunity to develop this exceptional set of bulls.
Our development strategy with these bulls has been pretty simple. Make sure they have plenty of forage to graze, the right level of a balanced supplement to ensure proper growth and development, and plenty of room for exercise and conditioning. Essentially, our goal has been to develop them so that they can go right to work breeding cows for you, for many seasons. Our pastures are dominated by fescue and we rely on rotational grazing and strip grazing extensively to get the most production and utilization from our forage resource. This winter, the bulls were strip grazed on stockpiled fescue behind a single poly wire until late February. They’re dead broke to electric fence, and know how to graze.
