FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
A s you flip through this 2024-2025 issue of The Flame, I want you to see the glow and fervency on the faces of our students. There is such a palpable sense of pride and exuberance when you see our students in action—in the classrooms, on the athletic fields, and out in the community sharing their hearts and hands. What generates this special community? It is the daily dedication of our teachers, the way our parents feel for our school’s mission, and certainly the amazing learning and growth our students exhibit so frequently throughout the year. The pages of this issue make it clear: The school’s trajectory remains bold and on a constant journey for a better tomorrow. We are planning for the launch of our upcoming Growing our Future Capital Campaign to boost enrollment and expand our buildings and programs. At the same time, Levine Academy can be proud of its core Jewish spirit—along with our foundational traditions—that animate our school continuously and vibrantly. There is so much to celebrate: our Early Childhood teachers are giving our youngest students a brilliant and cheerful start to their learning; our K8 program is taking on the brightest educational programming anywhere; our unique strengths in academic competitions and community service awards are putting Levine on the national map. And if you have not yet experienced up front our emerging theater program or our high–spirited athletic teams, please know that the amazement of Levine continues all the way through eighth grade-and then consider our high school placements! The positive forces of the Levine experience give our students a leg-up as they sail through high school. Our chief gratitude for our school’s success centers on you, our community—you are our advocates, our cheerleaders, our supporters, and the linchpin keeping our community vibrant and growing.
