Statement Patterns

33
Confident alone, designed to be combined: Statement Patterns are available on 4x10 Panels or 24x24 Tiles (etched only), and come either printed in large, dramatic scale or etched—carved from solid colors. These bold geometric shapes are made to speak for themselves while keeping a lid on noise.
Printed The printed Statement Patterns are dynamic, modern and impactful. Available in a range of colors, they have all the functionality of high-quality rigid acoustic paneling without being boring. Minimalist patterns for maximum effect, they’re made for creatively designed spaces. Etched Textural transcendent when etched large-scale patterns are applied to a wall, their depth and dynamism come through. Inspired by modernism and it’s geometric patterns, the graphic elements evoke movement and have an elegant subtlety by virtue of the etching techniques.

Naturally durable, biodegradable and easy to grow, sisal is sustainably harvested from the agave plant. Sosquil wallcovering is woven from 100% sisal yarns, which are ideal for high-traffic areas due to its resilience and impact resistance. The unembellished and earthy weave adds warmth and texture while controlling noise. Environmental Benefits Sisal is a renewable resource that can form part of an overall commitment to green design. Measured over its life-cycle, sisal absorbs more carbon dioxide than it produces. During processing, it generates mainly organic wastes and leaf residues that can be used to generate bioenergy, and produce animal feed, fertilizer, and ecological housing material and, at the end of its lifecycle, sisal is 100% biodegradable.

Recycled Content 100% recycled polyester fibers, 60% of which comes from recycled plastic bottles, means our product contributes to LEED MRc3 Option 2 credit for recycled content.
Red List Free Material transparency is key. Our Declare label for Pindrop not only confirms our product is Red-List Free, it also contributes to credits for LEED MRc5, WELL and Living Building Challenge.
Product Certifications Committed to sustainable practices, we provide HPDs on most of our products and have tested Pindrop panels against harmful substances using OEKO TEX STANDARD 100: 16.0.81891 CLASS 1.
Noise Reduction Depending upon material choice and installation, sound absorption ranges from NRC 0.15 on acoustic wallcovering to NRC 0.90 for rigid acoustic panels.
We’ve woven sustainability into every sound-dampening solution we create. Pindrop’s rigid felt qualifies for the Living Building Challenge, meaning free from any Red List chemicals, and is made entirely from recycled polyester. Sosquil, made from sisal, is both sustainable and biodegradable, while Nūfelt, Silence and Tranquility are all made with recycled materials. Sound goals Properly designed acoustics contribute to a safe and effective space by cultivating a more comfortable soundscape. We can hear each other. We can connect. Noisy environments, where spoken communications get lost and ambient sound is amplified, make it harder to focus and create stress. Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is a measurement of how much sound a surface absorbs. Acoustic solutions performance is measured using this rating.

The Right Solution For Your Space It’s possible to over-engineer your acoustic solutions to where a space is “too quiet.” The right solution may combine materials of varying NRC ratings to create the perfect soundscape. From floor-to-ceiling rigid panels, which offer the most sound dampening, to shapes mixed with standard wall coverings or rolled acoustical textures, these options can be combined to create just the right lively hum, without creating too much buzz or too much hush.
Reverberation Reverberation is to sound what reflection is to light. It is the persistence of sound after it’s produced. When these sounds stack up, communication gets tricky—people tend to talk even louder, just to be heard, resulting in more reverb…and the cycle continues. “Reverberation time” is the measure of time it takes for sound to drop 60 decibels from its original level. An ideal reverb time for a classroom or office is 0.6 seconds. Sound Absorption (NRC) Sound absorption is the quality found in different materials that reduce reverberation times by absorbing sound energy and reducing sound levels. By eliminating unwanted sound, these materials can improve sound quality in a room. Different types of materials either reflect or absorb sound to different degrees. For instance, smooth concrete may absorb just 2% of sound, while reflecting the remaining 98%. In contrast, an acoustic panel with airspace behind it might absorb 75% of the sound that hits it.

Standoff Post Available in 3 sizes (1”, 1.75” & 2.5”), standoff posts can be used to create distance between a wall and the acoustic panels. Adding space can be decorative, but also increases the acoustic rating of the panels. Posts can also be used for Shapes, Tiles and Architectural Layers. Z-Clip Mount French Cleats Offered in 2 sizes: 72” long rail or 1.5” clips. This mounting system is a great alternative to gluing panels to a wall surface. Adhesive or Fasteners For direct adhesion, Pindrop panels and shapes can be glued to different wall surfaces. Solvent-based contact adhesives should not be used. Mechanical fasteners (screws/ nails) can be used to secure Pindrop as well.
Installation of Momentum acoustic solutions vary by type, and can be adjusted to your unique needs. Rolled acoustic is hung like all soft wallcoverings, while Pindrop rigid Panels and Shapes can be installed via adhesion to the substrate or using Z-clips, standoffs or mechanical fasteners (i.e. screws), all of which we offer.
