Esko Reveals Details Of Innovation Summit

Esko has released details about its Innovation Sum- mit, scheduled to take place on November 18, 2021, with speakers and presentations focusing on the pack- aging industry’s future. “The pandemic has accelerated existing packaging megatrends and added a fresh impetus for innova- tion,”said James Mason, Regional Business Director at Esko.“It’s clear there are no simple solutions to today’s packaging challenges. Instead, companies need to pur- sue a transformational approach, adapting and rethink- ing multiple aspects in the entire packaging lifecycle. The event will feature speakers such as Stephan Ca- sey of Nestlé, who will share details of the company’s progression toward an inclusive, low-carbon future, and Geert De Proost, Director of Software to suppliers at Esko,who will be discussing the digitization of internal pre-press processes and optimizing communication. “We’ll be taking an in-depth look at how to simplify the platemaking process without compromising quali- ty,’ said Mason.‘This will be followed by a discussion on realizing the power of mass-scale variable data print- ing, with insights to help protect brands and provide new personalized services to customers by leveraging and fully automating the uniquely digital capability. “There will be a session on how to increase quality by boosting inspection efficiency, in which we will be looking at how operator errors and manual interven- tion can be minimized, guaranteeing consistent quali- ty, and increasing throughput.We’ll also have a guest speaker, with Steve Mulcahy, CEO of Contact Origina- tors Group, taking part in a live interview to discuss the future of platemaking and how his business is ad- dressing the topic of sustainability.” The event will conclude with a live Esko webinar, where attendees will learn first-hand about all the new features and benefits for Esko products, which will go live in November.The Esko Innovation Summit will be held onThursday,November 18, 2021, at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough, UK. C-P Flexible Packaging Acquires Preferred Packaging C-P Flexible Packaging (C-P) has acquired Preferred Packaging located in Norcross, Georgia. Preferred Packaging is a manufacturer of multilayer flexible films, thermoformed containers and a supplier of tray seal- ing equipment for meal solution providers and school systems. C-P is a long-standing portfolio company of First Atlantic Capital, a private equity firm.Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
