What the Elder Watson Diggs Award Means to Me Receiving the Elder Watson Diggs Award is a profound honor that signifies recognition of my dedication, leadership, and service to the Fraternity. This award represents more than just personal achievement; it embodies the values of brotherhood, integrity, and commitment that I strive to uphold. It acknowledges the countless hours I have invest- ed in fostering unity, supporting my peers, and contributing to meaningful initiatives that benefit our Fraternity and the broader community. This recognition motivates me to continue exemplifying the qualities that the Fra- ternity stands for–through Phi Nu Pi. It also reminds me of the importance of leading by example and inspiring others to pursue excellence. Achieving this award is a testa- ment to the collaborative spirit and camaraderie that define our Fraternity, empha- sizing that success is often a collective effort. It is a testament to the collaborative work and support of many people who have guided and encouraged me along the way. This recognition reflects not just my individual contributions, but the strength and unity of everyone who believed in and supported me throughout my journey. Being selected to have this prestigious award bestowed upon me, in honor of our principal Founder Elder Watson Diggs, which many of my mentors and pre- decessors have received, is incredibly meaningful to me. It symbolizes a legacy of excellence and dedication that I aspire to uphold. It reminds me of the guidance and inspiration I have received from them. It feels like a continuation of their journey, and it motivates me to carry forward their values while striving to make my own contributions. Most importantly, it inspires me to remain humble and dedicated to continuing to make a positive impact, both within
our bond and beyond. Ultimately, this award fuels my passion for service and leadership, encouraging me to continue growing, learning, and contributing to causes that are greater than myself. - Kevin P. Scott Grand Historian, Chicago (IL) Alumni Chapter
