CHAPTER NEWS CENTENNIAL

College, Clark Atlanta University, Morris Brown College, and Georgia State University. A focal point on display at the gala was the Atlanta Alumni Centennial Museum, curated by Atlanta Alumni Vice Polemarch Dr. Patrick Simon. The museum showcased the chapter’s achievements and its historical impact on the Metro Atlanta community and beyond. Notable guests present to witness the occasion included Grand Pole- march McMikle, Senior Grand Vice Polemarch Robert Jenkins, Esq., 33rd Grand Polemarch Thomas L. Battles, Jr., 28th Southeastern Province Pole- march, Brian C. Mock, a host of Past Southeastern Province Polemarchs; Fraternity awardees, current Atlanta Mayor Brother Andre Dickens, and the immediate past Atlanta Mayor, the Honorable Keisha Lance Bottoms.

KAPPA LEAGUE Soon after Kappa League’s adoption as an official auxiliary of Guide Right in 1970, the Atlanta Kappa League began to leave an indelible mark on the lives of youth throughout the Metro Atlanta area. One of the Kappa League founders and 8th Editor of The Kappa Alpha Psi Journal , of AAC, Mel Davis, left a lasting effect on the Atlanta Kappa League, and his presence is still felt today. The Atlanta Kappa League currently has a roster of

over 150 young men. Its capstone pro- gram, the Senior Academy, seeks to fill any gaps, both academically and socially, so that our young men can attain success through their college matriculation. The 2024 senior class earned over $7.7 million in scholarship offers, over 1,250 hours of community service, and has an average GPA of just over 3.7, making them the model of achievement through the Atlanta Alumni Kappa League’s 50 years of existence. ♦
