S idney Alston (Pi 1980) entered the Chapter Invisible on January 9, 2025, at 64 in Statesboro, GA. Born on December 2, 1960, in Washington D.C., Alston graduated in 1978 from Statesboro High School, where he was an active chorus and track team member. Alston attended More- house College, where he was an esteemed member of the Morehouse Glee Club. He was also a charter member of the Statesboro (GA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, marking his dedication to his college and community. In his professional life, Alston made significant contributions to his community. He retired in October 2024 from the Bulloch County Board of Commissioners, where he worked as a building inspec- tor and zoning official. He had previously served as a code enforcement officer for the city of Statesboro and was a licensed general

electrical contractor. Alston was a long-time and faithful member of Brannen Chapel United Methodist Church, where he actively served as a male chorus member, presi-
