PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Dairy Delight A dairy processing plant, located in South Dakota, USA, needed a new gas-collecting floating cover for a concrete biodigester tank. Responding to the need for a more robust and durable cover system, Titan supplied and installed a new system consisting of a prefabricated LLDPE-R geomembrane panels with a modular 4in (12.7cm) thick foam insulation layer. A total of 234 sections of foam measuring 4in (12.7cm) thick by 48in (122cm) wide by 108in (274cm) long were used to make up the cover. Our fabrication team stepped up to the plate (hitting a home run!) using the latest seaming technology in the industry to pre-connect the sections of 6, 5, and 3 floats. These were then sent to the project site to assemble into the larger cover system.
Titan Earth Slope™ - Honeycomb for the Win! The replacement of two culverts along a road in Ontario became a critical infrastructure initiative. The project, spanning a 0.6mi (1.0km) section, required construction of 1,076ft² (1,000m²) of reinforced soil slopes (RSS) on both sides of the road over the two culvert outlets. A steep top slope, toe slope, and a narrow right of way (ROW) made for challenging design considerations, but our engineering team, specialized in MSE/RSS design, rose to the occasion working closely with the project consultants to provide a speedy and cost-effective design. The Titan Earth Slope™ – Honeycomb system emerged as the optimal solution for this project, setting the stage for an efficient and successful outcome while displaying our team’s expertise, innovation and project-focused approach.
