Oregon Urban Tree Catalog

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The Oregon Tree Catalog was made possible through the funding and support of the Oregon Department of Forestry Urban and Community Forestry Program , with funding provided by the United States Forest Service under the State of Oregon’s 2024 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law State Forest Plan Implementation. The Oregon Tree Catalog is a collaborative initiative developed to create an online, virtual, multimedia catalog of trees found throughout Oregon. This resource is intended to serve as a public educational tool for urban forestry professionals, city planners, educators, and private property owners, supporting informed decision-making around tree selection, planting, and long-term care. The Oregon Tree Catalog is a living, evolving resource maintained by OUR Community Forestry . Content will be updated and refined over time as new information, research, and practical experience are gained, ensuring the catalog remains a relevant and reliable educational tool for Oregon communities. Expected outcomes of the catalog include the creation of a comprehensive and accessible educational tree resource for Oregon, increased public awareness and engagement in urban forestry, improved tree selection and planting decisions across urban and suburban landscapes, and enhanced climate resilience and biodiversity through more informed tree planting.
