How does the proposed program meet other relevant societal needs?

1- The proposed MBA program prepares and advances learners for successful careers in business but also contribute to a positive broader range of societal goals such as ethical leadership and corporate social responsibility, community engagement, economic development, global and cultural competence, sustainability, social innovation and impact investing, etc., through education, research, partnerships, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Innovation : The proposed MBA program encourages innovation, systems thinking, and supports activities that drive economic growth, generate new products, service and business models and address complex societal problems. 2- Ethical Leadership and Corporate Social Responsibility : The proposed MBA program emphasize the importance of instilling a sense of ethical leadership and corporate social responsibility in future business leaders who will make decisions that are not only profitable but also socially responsible, and encourage businesses to adopt sustainable practices that benefit society and the environment. 3- Community Engagement and Development : By partnering with local communities, the program can help address specific challenges, such as poverty, education, and healthcare. By incorporating community service and social impact projects into the curriculum, learnerss are encouraged to apply their business skills to provide support to small businesses, non-profits and startups through mentorship, consultancy, and resources. This is consistent with CWU’s mission of fostering authentic community partnerships that are grounded in meaningful relationships and CB’s mission of equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to make an enduring positive impact on their communities. 4- Economic Development : In the long term, the proposed MBA program can contribute to the overall economic development of a region or country by producing skilled graduates who drive industry and commerce, conduct research that informs public policy and economic strategies. 5- Diversity and Inclusion : The proposed MBA program will promote diversity and inclusion within the business world by supporting initiatives that ensure equal opportunitie. Learners will be exposed to a curriculum infused with those values and are encouraged to become future business leaders that hold those values firmly. The university’s and college’s mission of access, providing opportunities for upward social mobility is also attained. 6- Global and Cultural Competence : The proposed MBA program will prepare diverse learners to work in a globalized economy and intercultural workplace by fostering an awareness and understanding of different cultures and international business practices.
