AAP 2022 Corporate Sustainability & Social Report

SAFETY

SAFETY Safety is a top priority and central to our focus on putting our people first. We made steady progress over the last several years, investing in talent, creating playbooks and trainings, deploying processes and adapting to new protocols. Safety considerations continue to be at the center of crucial cross-functional leadership discussions and decisions, enabling teams to speed up decision making and implementation of important programs. Importantly, our emphasis on safety has created not only behavior changes among our team members, but the adoption of a safety culture across the business. That safety culture is owned by all team members and is helping to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, reduce costs, including reductions in workers’ compensation claims, and improve team member job satisfaction.
