Resources In this section, you will find resources for your lessons—including Writing Power graphic organizers and writing pages, information about assessments, the LitCamp rubric, a scope & sequence—and activities to extend learning and engage campers. Writing Power Each two-part Writing Power lesson includes teacher-modeled preparation, followed by a writing activity. Graphic Organizers and Writing Pages are provided for every writing lesson. In your guide are annotated versions of campers’ graphic organizers, as well as writing prompts and sentence frames. Campers’ graphic organizers and writing pages are in their notebooks. Community Lit Engaging Community Lit activities are a great way to strengthen your classroom community. As time allows, choose the activity that best suits your group. Assessments Campers’ foundational and word-reading skills check-ins and Think More book comprehension checks are downloadable from the LitCamp website. The LitCamp rubric, provided in this guide, allows you to assess campers’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening through the lens of the 7 Strengths. Conversation Prompts These text-agnostic prompts can be used to model initiating a conversation and to get your campers talking about their reading and the 7 Strengths.
