OPENING CAMPFIRE 15 MIN Welcome campers and greet them by name. Remind them about the focus strength and prepare the group for the day’s lesson. Have you ever heard the saying, “Actions speak louder than words”? Take a moment to discuss with a partner what you think that saying might mean. Guide campers to understand that helping someone with a chore or project, or reading a story to a younger or older person, are simple acts of kindness that show you care. We read about many acts of kindness in My Brother Charlie . We saw how everyone benefitted when people were kind to one another. Let’s practice being kind to one another at LitCamp and at home today and every day. Wrap up with a song or the LitCamp cheer.
