OPENING CAMPFIRE 15 MIN Welcome campers and greet them by name. Remind them about the focus, Celebration, and prepare the group for the day’s lesson. Campers, we are halfway through camp! In our last lesson, we shared some of our favorite books and celebrated some of the special things that make us each different. We read about Exclamation Mark, a character who struggled to fit in until he discovered what made him special. What would you say to a friend who was struggling to fit in? Have campers share with partners. Then invite volunteers to share their ideas with the group. Today, as we go deep into the story Exclamation Mark , let’s look for ways to celebrate what makes each of us different and special. Wrap up with a song or the LitCamp cheer.
