they shall attend class. If they are given sufficient comfort, they will stay with us and develop nicely. Comfort means no bodily discomfort, and for this Kåñëa Consciousness education, many Calcutta rich men will send their children. Actually the Bhaktivinode Institute was started for this purpose, but they have turned it into an ordinary school. 11/3/74 NEW DELHI – TARUN KANTI GHOSH BABU So in the begining if we start a varëäçrama college to teach inter- national students from all over the world to learn to be educated as brähmaëas, as kñatriyas, as vaiçyas, as sudras, by quality and work, that will be the basic principle of Kåñëa consciousness. It is the duty of the government to see that everyone is employed. This is only pos- sible when varëäçrama is established. 9/5/74 BOMBAY – BHAVÄNANDA and JAYAPATÄKÄ MAHÄRÄJAS The success of Bhavänanda Mahäräja’s English lessons at the Varëäçrama College has given me great pleasure and I am sure many devotees will come from this program. It is a first class idea. 26/7/76 BHAKTIVEDANTA MANOR – JAYAPATÄKÄ MAHÄRÄJA Regarding the approval of the University, we have got both students and teachers and can supply the list to them. But first we must know the conditions which they are asking of us to fulfill. It is very good that they liked the prasädam. Introduce the recitation of Gitar Gan in every school. That will be a nice credit. 9/1/76 BOMBAY – TUÑÖA-KÅÑËA MAHÄRÄJA In our Vedic Universities we will not encourage anyone to be merely a bookworm. There must be life—rising early in the morning, attending mangala arati, taking prasädam, etc. The man who is studying will be brahmana, the farmer will be vaisya. In this way there will be divisions, but they are all one in service to Kåñëa.
