CAITANYA-CARITÄMÅTA ÄDI-LÉLÄ 17.123 TRANSLATION When the sankértana movement thus started, no one in Navadvipa could hear any other sound than the words “Hari! Hari!” and the beating of the mrdhanga and clashing of hand bells.
PURPORT The International Society of Kåñëa Consciousness now has its world center in Navadvépa, Mäyäpur. The managers of this center should see that twenty-four hours a day there is chanting of the holy names of the Hare
Kåñëa maha-mantra, with the addition of
haraye namah, kåñëa ya- davaya namaha, for this song was a favor-ite of Çré Caitanya Mahäprab- hu. But all such sankérta- na must be preceded by the chanting of the holy names of the five tat- tvas— sré-kåñëa-caitan ya prabhu nityänanda çré-advaita gadädhara çréväsädi-gaurabhakta- vånda .
