FHCC Breeding Guarantee
All cattle sell under the suggested Terms and Conditions of the American Angus Association listed at http://www.angus.org/Pub/ suggested_sale_terms.pdf. Breeding age bulls have passed a breeding soundness exam and are fertile to the best of our knowledge at the time of the sale. In addition to the standard Terms and Conditions referenced above, we provide a first breeding season guarantee on all yearling and older bulls selling in this sale. The first breeding season is defined as the 90-day period immediately following turnout. This guarantee is not an insurance or mortality policy. It is designed to cover any and all deficiencies in our bulls but is not a substitute or replacement for good management. Running multiple, especially unfamiliar bulls together can result in fights and injury and is a management decision and risk that is outside of our genetic control. For the guarantee to apply, we require that you contact us prior to the animal being sold. We will work with you to determine the best course of action to meet your immediate needs and to correct the situation or salvage the bull. We reserve the right on a case by case basis to determine whether the animal is returned or sold for slaughter. If the injury is not life threatening or permanent and the bull can be returned to service, we will work with you to supply a replacement until the original bull can be returned to service. If a suitable replacement cannot be provided, we will issue you credit to be used in future sales for the full purchase price less the salvage value of the bull. Livestock insurance information will be available at the clerk’s desk sale day.

We are proud of the genetics offered in this sale and have designated some of the top prospects as retained interest bulls. We are selling 100% possession on these bulls and are simply retaining a continuing semen interest for our in-herd use or future joint marketing purposes. The bull is totally in your control in how you want to handle him and you get 100% of the salvage value of the bull. If semen marketing becomes an option, those decisions will be made mutually with expenses and proceeds shared based on the semen interest ownership percentages. If you would like to collect semen from the bull as an “insurance” policy for your own use, that semen is 100% yours. Conversely, if you are not interested in collecting the bull, we reserve the right to collect him at our expense and your convenience for our in-herd usage. We are retaining ½ semen interest in Lots 100, 110, 118, 124, 128, 129, 130, 137, 146, 164, 168 and 173.

Every buyer in this year’s sale will receive $100 in FHCC Bull Bucks per lot purchased to use as a credit in future FHCC sales. This program applies to both bulls and females purchased in the sale. Bull Bucks earned in this year’s sale are valid for two years and can be used in either the 2026 or 2027 sales.
