Industrial Representation
The key role of the Maritime Union of Australia is to ensure that our members have good wages and conditions. This is achieved through the negotia- tion of Enterprise Agreements and the bargain- ing of claims, which are endorsed by members in each respective workplace. Good wages and an- nual wage increments, training, dispute resolution procedures, income protection, redundancy and delegates rights are all key employment terms, which the union seeks being included in EBA’s. OHS & Safety The union has a right under the act to investigate suspected breaches of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and work with your Health and Safety Representatives to make your workplace safe.

Freshstart injury management is the MUA’s pre- ferred vocational Rehabilitation provider. If you have had an injury at work, which has left you over- whelmed and confused – Contact Kerry O’Sullivan at Freshstart so they can assist with any queries or help needed at any stage.
