Dear MUA WA Women,

It is with regret that we inform you that Rachael Bonner has resigned as the MUA WA Branch dele- gate from the National Women’s Committee (NWC) and the WA Branch Women’s Committee. However, this opens an exciting opportunity for you to step up and represent our women members at a Nation- al and/or State level. There are two positions available for nomination and election: one for the WA Women’s Committee and the other for the WA Representative on the Na- tional Women’s Committee. These committees play a crucial role in advancing gender equality and fostering inclusivity for women in both the workplace and our union.

I will always be grateful for the support provided by Freshstart in managing my workers compensation claim. As my case manager, Kerry demonstrated her industry knowledge and successfully supported me through what can be described as a complex process. Kerry consistently provided me with thorough and timely support and in particular, I appreciate Kerry’s genuine interest in my wellbeing and her personable demeanour. Kerry’s proactive approach to maintain- ing regular contact with myself and other stakehold- ers was instrumental in supporting my overall well- being and a successful return to full duties.” Luke, Fremantle Port Authority “Using Freshstart has made my Workers Compen- sation experience stress free. My company’s HR de- partment are not Employee-friendly so Kerry from Freshstart has ensured that I got all entitlements e.g., mileage, expenses paid and the care / rehabilitation for my recovery. Also, Kerry kept in touch to ensure I was going ok with my mental health, my recovery and well-being. I recommend Freshstart and Kerry if you have a work- place injury and they do an awesome job. Thanks Kerry and Freshstart.” Dave - Fremantle Port Authority

“I was injured in October 2018 & followed the normal procedures to get my claim going. I found out pretty quickly it wasn’t going to be that easy. I contacted Kerry at Freshstart to help assist with getting medical appointments and some counselling while waiting for my claim to be approved. After 51 weeks pending it was approved and Kerry had me booked in almost immediately to see a surgeon. This was a great relief for me and my family. Kerry sort- ed out my RTW and was eventually approved. I was then terminated just as my RTW was about to com- mence and again Kerry was there to assist in any way she could. After 828 days out the gate I was glad to get back to work and it wouldn’t have been possible without Kerry and the Freshstart team.” Shane – DP World “Nobody wants to get hurt!!! Unfortunately, I got hurt at work. I was introduced to Freshstart to help me manage my injury and get me back to work asap. I cannot speak highly enough about Kerry and the team at Freshstart. They helped an otherwise stress- ful situation be a simple and easy process.” Sheldon – QUBE
