Qualifications, knowledge and experience Essential – A degree in a related subject e.g. Electrical or
– Proven experience in Project Management.
– A trade background in electrical services, with membership of a recognised institution i.e. CIBSE, IEE etc. A recognised qualification in Energy Management. – Experience of health and safety management in an organisation with large and diverse operational activities, particularly in an estates related environment. Skills, abilities and competencies Essential – IT literate in MS office software, Word and Excel or equivalent.* – Ability to operate specialist IT systems related to BMS operation and financial control systems.*
Building Services Engineering or an equivalent level of knowledge and analytical skills gained through extensive work experience. (Consideration will be given to candidates with HNC qualifications who possess extensive relevant experience in a similar position and can demonstrate the depth of knowledge necessary).* – Extensive knowledge/experience on building controls gained in a proprietary “controls house” environment relating to a BMS (e .g. Schneider/Satchwell).* – Extensive knowledge/experience on the conservation of energy in a large organisation via BMS controls.* Desirable – A recognised qualification in assessing competencies (e.g. A1 Assessor Award) and/or evidence of in-house training delivery of BMS systems. – Proven knowledge/experience of a variety of BMS systems (Satchwell Sigma/Schneider StruxureWare/ Trend/KNX). – Experience in the maintenance of electrical building services gained within a client centred service organisation.
