Phase 3 System Overview
Introduction:
Byrne is a leading provider of power and technology solutions for contract office environments, as well as healthcare, hospitality, education and residential spaces. From initial concept to production, Byrne’s vertical integration of innovative product design, injection molding, assembly, and UL listing delivers the best in product performance, quality and support. Byrne’s Phase 3 system is a great example of this—affordable and easy to customize—it’s a great power distribution choice, especially well-suited for modular furniture use. Phase 3 accommodates panel applications of 2”-3 ½” thick with harnesses available from 12” to 300” in length. All assemblies are fully tested to ensure only the highest quality—this is a system you can count on. Circuitry/Keying:
Our Phase 3 system is rated for 20 amps per circuit, allowing the use of 2 or 3 circuits. The 3 line conductors and shared ground are 12 AWG with a shared 10 AWG neutral. Phase 2 features two line conductors with dedicated neutrals and a shared ground all conductors in this system are 12 AWG. Phase 3 can be wired in both single and three-phase configurations, 240/120V, 208/120V respectively. Under NEC requirements, you can connect up to 13 duplex receptacles per circuit, or a maximum of 39 (15 A) duplex receptacles per power infeed—the actual number of receptacles recommended on a circuit or in-feed will vary depending on load requirements. Flexibility:
Phase 3’s practical, space-conscious design neatly combines junction blocks, jumpers, and power infeeds into one modular assembly. Power is routed through our super-flexible metal conduit, making sharp corners a snap. Phase 3 also features a smart, dual-sided design, for power delivery to both sides of any partition or wall. A wide variety of power feed options for single and multi-circuit applications are available—making it easier than ever to distribute power in today’s modern work landscape.
Installation:
All connections are positive locking, assured by keyed terminal housings—and our slide mount raceway can be quickly installed on site after panel or table assembly.

Contact:
The center of the Byrne Phase 3 System is the patented six point contact terminal. This Quad Termial is rated at over 50 amps, offering built in overload insurance. The design efficiently distributes power, reducing the contact resistance. The six points of contact providde a stable connection, eliminating rocking.
