the boys and the teachers. Overall, the trip was a massive success. We all improved significantly and had an amazing and memorable time both during the day and in the evening. Particular thanks must go to Mr Roberts, Mr Hullet and Mr Lyons Donegan for organising such a brilliant trip and helping it run so smoothly. ◉
SPANISH TRIP – MALLORCA OLLIE KELLY (YEAR 9) • APRIL 2024
On Saturday 13 April, we arrived at Gatwick Airport full of anticipation for the following five days in Mallorca. After browsing the airport shops and buying some lunch, we boarded our flight for Palma. When we landed, we took a short coach journey to Hotel Caballero, located just outside the city and super-close to the beach. After a refreshing shower and a lovely buffet-style meal, including delicious paella, we went for an evening walk by the long, sandy beach before going to bed. After the grey London skies, the palm trees and sunset were a very welcome sight. The following day we woke up ready for our first lessons of the week, taught by locals, which covered grammar,
everyone had improved, with some boys who had never skied before accomplishing red slopes comfortably and confidently. Special mentions go out to Peter Heller and Oliver Spiegelberg (both Year 12), Charlie Connellan and Oliver Turnbull (both Year 11) who all won prizes in their respective year groups. Following the daily post-ski hot chocolate and chips, we enjoyed various après-ski activities, including a football match, a quiz night, a tobogganing afternoon, a pizza restaurant, bingo night and a thrilling evening at the local waterpark, which was one of the numerous highlights for
