We back this governance with regular environmental safety audits, helping us manage risk and stay compliant with relevant legislation. Alongside these audits, we maintained our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SafeContractor certifications throughout 2025.
Garland UK's sustainability journey is underpinned by clear ownership, not just good intentions. A dedicated pillar champion leads each of our three focus areas, Carbon, Resource Efficiency & Waste, and People, tracking progress, working through challenges, and keeping activity aligned with our wider strategic goals. A cross-functional steering group sits alongside this structure, bringing together colleagues from finance, marketing, operations, warehousing, and technical management. Regular meetings give the business a consistent rhythm for reviewing performance, spotting where improvements are needed, and holding our commitments to account, so sustainability stays embedded across every department rather than sitting with one team alone.
