UN Sustainable Development Goals:
Commitment: We will achieve our near-term reduction targets by 2032 and our long-term net-zero target by 2050, aligned with a 1.5°C pathway.
Targets:
Achieve our near-term reduction target, a 45% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, by 2032, with targets kept aligned to a 1.5°C pathway and reviewed regularly
We've also taken a considered decision not to pursue formal Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validation. Instead, we're keeping our targets tightly aligned with a 1.5°C pathway and reviewing them regularly against the latest science-based guidance and UK government expectations, giving us a framework that flexes as best practice evolves, rather than locking us into a fixed validation process.
2025 was a landmark year for Garland UK's carbon journey. We achieved carbon neutrality across Scope 1 and 2, a goal we set out to reach and have now delivered through measured reductions and a verified offset. It's proof that disciplined data and consistent action produce real results, not just plans on paper.
