We will ensure all employees are trained on sustainability topics relevant to their role, deliver market-leading training for our Technical Managers, and work with clients and suppliers to create a Social Value Framework that maximises, measures and reports positive outcomes for the communities we operate in.

All team members complete continual learning on relevant sustainability topics, and are empowered to develop innovative solutions supporting our commitments

Technical Managers receive expert training to confidently support customers' sustainability ambitions

Ensure all appropriate team members complete Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) training

Work with key and strategic suppliers to develop their sustainability capabilities

Support client ambitions and targets to improve social value outcomes

Sustainability at Garland UK isn't something that happens to our people, it happens through them. This pillar covers both sides of that responsibility: the colleagues who make up our business, and the wider community, supply chain and subcontractors we work alongside every day.

Progress:

 100% of our internal teams were upskilled on sustainability topics including environment, sustainability, FIR and ISO awareness

 Our Technical Managers took part in sustainability training alongside additional technical and public speaking training

 Continued to develop and strengthen supply chain relationships

 Undertook research to support our social value offering and client support
