Chapter 2: The Case of the Missing Carrots
The morning sun peeked over the horizon, bathing Maplewood Farm in a warm, golden light. The animals were waking up and beginning their day, but in the barn, a commotion was brewing. Farmer Jenkins was standing in front of the empty carrot bin, scratching his head in bewilderment.
"Now where in the world have all my carrots gone?" he muttered, looking around as if the missing vegetables might magically reappear.
Buck, Star, Daisy, and Thunder exchanged curious glances. They had just finished their breakfast and were ready for another adventure. Solving the mystery of the missing carrots sounded like the perfect way to start the day.
"We should investigate," Buck said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Let's solve this mystery and find out who the carrot thief is!"
Star flipped her mane. "I'm always up for a challenge. Let's catch this sneaky thief!"
Daisy bounced on her hooves. "Maybe we'll find more glowing mushrooms on the way!"
Thunder nodded his agreement. "As long as we stick together, I'm in."
With their mission set, the four horses began their investigation. Buck took the lead, inspecting the empty bin and sniffing around for clues. He noticed a trail of tiny carrot pieces leading out of the barn.
"Look! The thief left a trail," Buck said, pointing with his nose. "Let's follow it."
