Chapter 14: The Holiday Parade
The holiday season had arrived at Maplewood Farm, bringing with it a festive spirit and excitement. The air was filled with the scent of pine and cinnamon, and the farm was decorated with twinkling lights and colourful ornaments. This year, Farmer Jenkins had signed up the farm to participate in the town's annual holiday parade, and Buck, Star, Daisy, and Thunder were chosen to lead the way.
“We get to be in the parade!” Daisy exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement. “This is going to be so much fun!”
Star pranced around, her hooves tapping in rhythm. “I can’t wait to show off my moves. We need to make this the best parade ever!”
Thunder nodded, a warm smile on his face. “We’ll make sure it’s a celebration to remember.”
Buck, ever the planner, stepped forward. “We need to come up with a theme and decorate ourselves and our float. Let’s get started!”
The horses gathered in the barn to brainstorm ideas for their parade float.
“How about a winter wonderland theme?” Star suggested. “We could have snowflakes, snowmen, and maybe even a sleigh.”
“That sounds amazing!” Daisy agreed, bouncing on her hooves. “And we could dress up as reindeer!”
Thunder chuckled. “I like it. Let’s get to work.”
