Thumper looked up, his ears twitching nervously. "Oh, um, hello, Star. We were just...uh...tasting them."
"Those carrots belong to Farmer Jenkins," Star said, her tone friendly but firm. "You know, he'd be pretty upset to find out they've all been eaten."
Thumper's eyes widened. "Oh dear, we didn't mean any harm. We were just so hungry."
Buck stepped forward, his expression kind. "We understand, Thumper. But maybe there's a way we can help each other. If you help us replant the carrots, we won't tell Farmer Jenkins about this."
The rabbits huddled together, whispering among themselves. Finally, Thumper nodded. "Alright, we agree. We'll help you replant the carrots."
With the rabbits' help, the horses gathered carrot seeds and started planting them in the garden. Thunder's large hooves were perfect for digging, while Daisy and Star helped cover the seeds with soil. Buck supervised, making sure everything was done correctly.
By the time they finished, the garden was neat and tidy, with rows of freshly planted carrot seeds. The rabbits thanked the horses and promised to keep an eye on the garden from now on.
Back at the barn, Farmer Jenkins was still puzzled over the missing carrots. But when he saw the horses and rabbits working together in the garden, a smile spread across his face.
"Well, would you look at that," he said, chuckling. "It seems like the animals are better farmers than I am!"
