First up was Thunder and the barrel racing.
The crowd cheered as Thunder trotted into the arena, his large frame looking somewhat out of place among the nimble barrel racers. He took a deep breath and started his run, weaving around the barrels with surprising agility. But as he approached the final barrel, his hoof slipped, and he tumbled into the dirt.
The crowd gasped, but Thunder quickly got back on his feet, shaking off the dust and giving a sheepish smile. The audience erupted in laughter and applause, cheering for his effort.
"Nice try, Thunder!" Buck called from the sidelines. "You'll get 'em next time!"
Next was Daisy and her trick riding.
Daisy trotted into the arena, her eyes sparkling with determination. She had been practicing a series of jumps and spins, and she was ready to show off her skills. With a burst of speed, she leaped over the first obstacle, then spun gracefully in the air, landing perfectly.
The crowd "ooh"-ed and "ahh"-ed as she performed trick after trick, her small size making her moves look even more impressive. But as she attempted her grand finale – a triple spin jump – she miscalculated and landed in a heap.
For a moment, there was silence, but then Daisy popped up, shaking her mane and flashing a big grin. The crowd burst into applause, charmed by her spirited performance.
Star's turn came next in the costume contest.
